Best Ever Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe

  1. Mix sugar and corn starch together in top of double boiler: add in the 2 c. of water.
  2. Combine egg yolks with juice and beat.
  3. Add in to rest of mix.
  4. Cook till thick over boiling water for 25 min.
  5. This does away with starchy taste.
  6. Add in lemon extract, butter, and vinegar; stir thoroughly.
  7. Pour into a deep 9 inch pie shell and let cold.
  8. Cover with meringue and brown in oven.
