Brie And Sausage Breakfast Casserole Recipe

  1. * Note: Two c. (8 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese may be substituted.
  2. Trim rind from Brie, and throw away; cut cheese into cubes, and set aside.
  3. Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring till it crumbles and is no longer pink; drain well.
  4. Cut crusts from bread slices, and place crusts proportionately in bottom of a lightly greased 13- by 9-inch baking dish.
  5. Layer proportionately with bread slices, sausage, Brie, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Whisk together 5 Large eggs, 2 c. whipping cream, and next 4 ingredients; pour proportionately over cheeses.
  7. Cover and refrigeratemix for 8 hrs.
  8. Whisk together remaining 2 Large eggs and remaining 1 c. whipping cream; pour proportionately over chilled mix.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till casserole is set.
  10. Garnish, if you like.
  11. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
