Hawaiian BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger

  1. Mold ground beef into four burger patties and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat your grill or stove to medium-high heat.
  3. Cook patties on the grill or in a skillet on the stove top until they have nearly reached your desired level of done-ness (cook time will vary based on patty thickness but this should take about 5-6 minutes per side).
  4. About halfway through, add your pineapple rings to the grill.
  5. Flip the pineapple once the bottom begins to char.
  6. Remove from heat to a clean plate.
  7. Brush each burger generously with BBQ sauce.
  8. Top with bacon slices, cheese and pineapple.
  9. Serve on a bun with some savory sides.
  10. (We chose grilled corn, zucchini, and baked potatoes!)
  11. You may also serve with additional BBQ sauce for dipping!
  12. For healthier alternatives try a veggie or turkey burger with turkey bacon- you may also omit the cheese.
