Dill Casserole Bread

  1. Add yeast to water.
  2. Combine in mixing bowl cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill, salt, baking soda, egg and yeast.
  3. Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition. Cover, let rise in warm place till light and double in size (approx. 1 hr).
  4. Stir down dough.
  5. Turn into a well greased 8-inch round pan that holds about 1/2 to 1 qt casserole.
  6. Let rise in warm place 30-40 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350 F for 40-50 minutes.
  8. Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
  9. (I prefer coarse salt for this.)
