Smokies With Caraway Kraut Recipe
- 3 c. coarsely minced onion
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- 16 ounce. can sauerkraut (washed and liquid removed)
- 1 c. water
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound smoked sausage links, cut diagonally
- Saute/fry onions and garlic in butter.
- Add in remaining ingredients except sausage; cover and simmer over low heat for 20 min.
- Add in sausage.
- Cover and simmer 10 min.
