Crunch-Topped Apple Crisp
- 6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced (6 cups)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped PLANTERS Pecans, toasted
- 1 Tbsp. MINUTE Tapioca
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, divided
- 1-1/2 cups bite-size shredded wheat cereal, finely crushed
- 1/4 cup margarine, melted
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Combine first 6 ingredients and 1/4 cup sugar; let stand 10 min.
- Meanwhile, mix crushed cereal, margarine and remaining sugar until blended.
- Spoon apple mixture into 1-1/2 qt.
- casserole.
- Top with cereal mixture.
- Bake 45 min.
- or until apples are tender.
