Improvising a Meal with Phillippe Chin

  1. Premise: The two chefs will work together to create a meal on the spot.
  2. We will devise a bag of mystery ingredients that, along with their basic pantry, they will use to create a whole meal.
  3. It is not a competition -- it is really a way to show our viewers how chefs create dishes and to offer some pointers on how viewers can do the same.
  4. The chefs will create a whole meal a la minute, no swap outs: Mystery bag will include two proteins (quantity will determine which course), ingredients for vegetable sides and desserts, (ie fruit crisps, slushes)

pantry, garlic, onions, chicken, flour, eggs, butter, sugar, milk, cream, vanilla, chili and curry, spice grinder, salt, pepper, olive oil, canola oil, long grain, wonton wrappers, carrots, celery, ginger, fresh herbs, red, cognac, water, beers, grill, spice grinder, blender, processor, blender, boards, torch, kitchenaid, mussels, chinese eggplant, beets, sweet chocolate
