Midwest Bran Muffins Recipe
- 1 c. Crisco, melted
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 quart. buttermilk
- 4 Large eggs
- 5 c. flour
- 5 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 c. All Bran (Kellogg's) cereal
- 2 c. boiling water added to 2 c. Bran Buds
- Add in Crisco to sugar and Large eggs and mix well.
- Add in buttermilk, flour, and baking soda and stir.
- Add in Bran Buds and water mix and blend thoroughly.
- Then add in All Bran.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
- Makes 4 to 6 dozen muffins.
- Mix may be stored in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
