Strawberry Buttermilk Ice

  1. Puree strawberries and sugar in processor.
  2. Add buttermilk and process until smooth.
  3. Pour into 8x8x2-inch glass dish.
  4. Place in freezer.
  5. Freeze mixture until firm, about 3 hours.
  6. Transfer mixture to processor and process until smooth.
  7. Spoon mixture into plastic container.
  8. Cover tightly and freeze until firm, about 3 hours (Ice can be prepared 2 days ahead.
  9. Keep frozen.)
  10. Let ice soften at room temperature about 5 minutes before serving.
