Italian Grilled Cheese
- 8 slices Italian bread
- 5 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli 4 Cheese Italian Blend
- 12 to 16 basil leaves, if desired
- 4 ounces sliced deli salami
- 1/2 cup roasted red pepper strips
- 1/3 cup mild banana pepper rings
- Spread 1 side of each bread slice with about 2 teaspoons butter.
- Layer 1 slice bread, buttered-side down, with 1 slice cheese, 3 to 4 basil leaves, 1/4 salami, 1/4 roasted red pepper strips, 1/4 banana pepper rings and 1 slice cheese.
- Top with 1 slice bread, buttered-side up.
- Heat 12-inch skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place 2 sandwiches into skillet; cook, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
