Queen of the Green Bean Casserole
- 5 (14 1/2 ounce) cans French style green beans
- 2 (8 ounce) cans mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 (11 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup (low sodium is fine too)
- 2 -8 ounces water chestnuts
- 18 cup soy sauce
- 1 (8 ounce) package bacon
- 1 (8 ounce) package frozen carrots (optional)
- 1 (6 ounce) container French's French fried onions
- Prepare bacon until very crispy.
- Crumble bacon.
- Add all ingredients together EXCEPT the fried onions.
- You can keep in refrigerater until baking or overnight.
- Bake in oven at 350 for about 45 minutes until top is thick and SLIGHTLY tan.
- Remove from oven.
- Just before eating warm in microwave and then put fried onions on top of dish and bake put in oven for 15 min at 350 until fried onions are crispy.
- You can also make this to serve 10-12 people: 3 cans of green beans, 1 can of mushrooms, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 small can of sliced water chestnuts, several squirts of soy sauce, 1/2 package of bacon, 1/4 frozen carrots (optional), and a 2.8oz container of French's fried onions.
