Beef Stroganoff
- 2 lb. filet beef or sirloin tips
- 4 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- fresh parsley
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. catsup
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. dry white wine
- 1 Tbsp. fresh dill
- 1 can beef consomme, undiluted
- Cut filet crosswise in 1/2-inch slices.
- Cut each slice into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Place meat and butter in a 2-quart ovenware casserole.
- Cook in microwave 9 to 10 minutes, stirring 3 times. Remove meat from dish.
- Add mushrooms, onions and garlic.
- Cook in microwave 6 to 10 minutes, stirring twice.
- Drain juice off vegetables and add consomme until you have 1 1/3 cups liquid. Return liquid to dish with vegetables.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper, catsup and Kitchen Bouquet.
- Cook 3 to 6 minutes.
- Add wine, dill and meat.
- Cook 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream. Cook 30 seconds.
