Furikake Salmon
- 1 pound Salmon Fillet
- Salt And Fresh Ground Pepper To Taste
- Olive Oil And/or Sesame Oil, For Greasing Baking Sheet And Drizzling
- 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise, Preferably Best Foods Brand
- 1 teaspoon Wasabi Paste
- 1/2 cups Furikake
- Start by washing the salmon fillet and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil (I like to brush it on or use a paper towel to rub it on).
- As an option, you can add a little sesame oil to the baking sheet for a smokey Asian flavor.
- Place your fillet on it skin-side up and generously drizzle olive oil, salt and pepper all over.
- Flip the fish over, skin-side down and repeat.
- Set aside.
- To make the sauce, mix the mayonnaise with the wasabi in a small dish.
- For those sensitive to spicy foods, the wasabi becomes very subtle once baked.
- Generously spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over the entire flesh side and sprinkle the furikake seasoning on top of the mayonnaise mixture.
- Bake 20 minutes uncovered.
- Cut and serve with lemon wedges, fresh green vegetables like radish sprouts or a salad medley and/or rice.
