Chewy Spice Cookies

  1. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, applesauce, molasses and egg substitute until well blended.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and spices; stir into molasses mixture.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets that have been lightly coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Yield: About 3 1/2 dozen.
  7. Nutritional Analysis: One cookie equals 56 calories, 15 mg sodium, trace cholesterol, 12 gm carbohydrate, 1 gm protein and trace fat.
