Creole Beans and Rice

  1. Heat oil in large heavy saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, ham, jalapenos, and celery; cook until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in broth, rice, thyme, pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Simmer covered until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  5. Gently stir in beans and heat through.
  6. Sprinkle with cilantro.
