German Apple Cake
- 5 baking apples
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1/3 c. orange juice
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. 10x sugar
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. soft butter or margarine
- Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt pan.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0. Slice apples thin and toss with 5 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
- Set aside.
- Mix together flour, sugar, salt, eggs, oil, vanilla, orange juice, baking powder and soda.
- Blend on low for 1 minute, then at medium beat for 3 minutes.
