Honey BBQ Baby Back Ribs
- 1 or 2 racks Baby Back Ribs
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 TBSP Lawry's seasoned salt
- 1 TBSP Garlic powder
- 1 TBSP Onion powder
- 1 TBSP powdered Ginger
- 1 TBSP Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground Coriander
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 3 TBSP Apple cider vinegar
- 2 TBSP Molasses
- 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- 1 TBSP Yellow Mustard
- 1 TBSP Soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/4 tsp Liquid Smoke, a key ingredient in the sauce and there's no substitute that I know of.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- Mix rub ingredients and seasoned ribs well.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.
- Mix honey bbq sauce ingredients and refrigerate until needed.
- Can be made a day or two in advance.
- Set up your grill for Indirect Heat starting with unlit charcoal.
- Add hot charcoal from a chimney starter to the grill.
- Place a drip pan in the middle and add water.
- Place ribs on the grill over the drip pan.
- Cook at about 325F for 1 & 1/2 hours.
- ;-)
- After an hour and a half and the bones are exposed a bet, glazed with bbq sauce continue cooking for about 10 more minutes.
- Glaze with bbq sauce a 2nd time and continue cooking for about 10 more minutes.
- Glazed with bbq sauce a 3rd time and you can you cooking for about 10 plus minutes.
- "Gently" remove from the grill and cool for 10 to 15 minutes before carving and serving.
