Bratten's Clam Chowder Recipe

  1. Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables in saucepan; add in sufficient water to barely cover and simmer about 20 min.
  2. Heat butter, add in flour and blend or possibly cook a minute or possibly two.
  3. Add in half and half and cook.
  4. Stir till smooth and thick.
  5. Use wire whip to blend.
  6. Add in liquid removed vegetables, clams and heat.
  7. Season.
