Green Pepper with Homemade Sesame Sauce
- 5 Bell peppers
- 4 tbsp Sesame sauce
- 1 tbsp Roasted sesame seeds
- 1 1/2- tablespoons Ground sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Remove the seeds from the bell peppers, and slice lengthwise into thin strips.
- I added one red bell pepper.
- Parboil bell peppers in boiling water with salt (not listed above) until desired tenderness.
- Soak in cold water to cool and fix the color.
- Shake off excess water from the bell peppers, then toss with the sesame sauce, adding it gradually until you reach your desired taste.
- Allow the flavors to blend into the vegetables, then season to taste and serve.
- Homemade sesame sauce is extremely easy to make, and is very handy since can be kept in stock..
- Addendum If you don't have any sesame sauce, combine roasted sesame seeds with ground sesame seeds.
- If you don't have both, use one or the other!
