Spicy Spring Cabbage and Bean Sprout Salad

  1. In a bowl mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, and finely chopped Japanese leek.
  2. Cook the bean sprouts and cabbage for 30 seconds in the microwave, allowing them to retain their crispness.
  3. Add the sprouts and cabbage together with the sliced ham to the dressing.
  4. For children, serve as is; for adults, sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper.
