Cabbage Rolls With Turkey Stuffing

  1. Remove twelve large leaves of cabbage; cut out tough inner part of rib.
  2. Blanch each leaf one minute, until pliable.
  3. Combine ground turkey, rice, egg, stock, sage and parsley.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Divide turkey mixture into twelve parts and form into oval lumps about four inches long.
  6. Place an oval at stem end of baking dish.
  7. Continue until all twelve rolls are in one layer in baking dish.
  8. Pour 1/2 cup stock over all.
  9. Lay strips of bacon over top.
  10. Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes, basting twice and turning oven temperature down to 350u0b0 if bacon browns too quickly.
  11. Yield: 6 servings.
