Chili

  1. In a large Dutch oven, cook the ground meat and chopped onions until meat is brown and onions are tender; drain off fat.
  2. Stir in the undrained beans and tomatoes.
  3. Add chili powder, garlic powder, oregano and pepper.
  4. Bring to boiling and reduce heat.
  5. Simmer, uncovered, about 1 1/4 hours, or until of desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
  6. Makes 12 (1-cup) servings.
