Grilled BBQ MacRib Burgers

  1. Tom's BBQ House Rub
  2. Homemade bbq sauce.
  3. Mix the ingredients well and refrigerate until needed, no pre-cooking required.
  4. Can be made days in advance.
  5. Mix ground pork and 2 teaspoons of the bbq rub and make into 4 equal sized oblong patties.
  6. With a chopstick make 3 indentations in the patties.
  7. ( 1 in the middle and then 1 on each side of center).
  8. Place on parchment paper on a baking tray and place in the freezer.
  9. Freeze 2 hours or longer (can be made days in advance).
  10. Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
  11. Place frozen patties on the grill and cook on the first side until the juices begin to collect on the top.
  12. Flip patties over and glazed with bbq sauce and continue cooking until well done.
  13. Remove from the grill and quickly toast the buns while the patties are cooling.
  14. Serve with sliced pickles and onions and extra bbq sauce.
