Chocolate Custard Bars
- BASE
- 2 cups Oreo Baking Crumbs
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
- FILLING
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups icing sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. Bird's Custard Powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- TOPPING
- 4 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- BASE:
- COMBINE crumbs, coconut, pecans and melted butter.
- Press into 9" x 9" (23 x 23cm) pan.
- FILLING:
- CREAM butter, sugar and vanilla.
- Add custard powder and milk.
- POUR over base and refrigerate.
- When firm, melt chocolate with butter and spread over top.
- Refrigerate until set.
- Cut into bars and serve.
