Quiche

  1. Line pastry shell with double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Bake in 450u0b0 oven for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove foil.
  3. Bake 5 to 7 minutes more or until pastry is nearly done.
  4. Remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 325u0b0.
  5. In a small bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk and pepper; stir in vegetables, cheese, ham and onion. Pour mixture in hot pastry shell.
  6. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  7. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Makes 6 servings.
