Chicken Stroganoff
- 2 cup Spaghetti / fettuccini boiled
- 1/4 kg Boneless chicken cut in small chunks
- 1/4 kg Sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup White wine
- 1 cup Sour cream or mix yogurt with cream(half cup each)
- 1 Onion chopped
- 8 clove Garlic minced
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Refined flour
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano/thyme
- 1 tsp Olive oil
- 2 cup Water
- 1 Salt
- Boil spaghetti strain and keep aside.
- Mix chicken with little salt, half of paprika and half of pepper powder.
- Heat 1tsp oil in a flat bottomed pan and shallow fry the marinated chicken till they turn brown.
- Remove the chicken from pan.
- Now add the butter in pan.Add onion and garlic and fry till they turn translucent.
- Add mushrooms and fry till they are almost cooked.
- Now add chicken, water and wine .
- Boil them.
- Add flour ( mix with half a cup of water before adding to avoid lumps).
- Boil till the sauce reduces to half.
- Now add sour cream, Worcestershire sauce and remaining salt, pepper and paprika..cook for 2-3 minutes.8
- Toss the spaghetti with the chicken or serve the chicken gravy on the bed of sphagetti.
