Matcha Oreo Muffins

  1. Preparations: Melt butter in the microwave.
  2. Sift together the dry ingredients.
  3. Line the muffin tins with paper.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  5. Set aside 6 of the Oreos to be used as garnish.
  6. Put the remaining 3 Oreos in a bag and close it so that they do not come out.
  7. Crush the Oreos in the bag.
  8. Put the beaten egg in a bowl, divide the sugar into 2 portions, and mix together with an electric mixer on high speed one portion at a time until it reaches the ribbons stage.
  9. Switch to a spatula and pour in the butter over the spatula to evenly distribute it.
  10. Mix together quickly without breaking up the bubbles.
  11. Add half of the dry ingredients and mix gently.
  12. Add the milk and the remaining dry ingredients, and mix quickly but gently.
  13. Finally, just before the flour is completely incorporated, add the crushed Oreos and mix.
  14. Spoon the batter into the muffin tin and garnish with the remaining Oreos, one per muffin.
  15. Bake in an oven preheated to 180C for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170C, and bake for another 10 minutes.
  16. Once baked, cool on a rack.
