Phoenix and Dragon
- 6 oz shrimp
- 1/4 cup Heinz ketchup
- 1/4 cup green peas
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1/4 tsp ginger paste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 boneless and skinless chicken breast or thigh
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 2 tbsp Chinese black vinegar
- 3 tbsp Heinz ketchup
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp hot chili oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or Thai chili pepper dried
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 cup Shaoxing wine
- 1/4 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp finely chopped onion
- 1/2 large naval orange
- General Taos chicken: cut chicken into bite sized pieces mix everything but milk and flour in the Phoenix chicken ingredients let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Mix flour and milk make a batter and fry set onto paper towels mix your ingredients for Phoenix sauce except cornstarch and water.
- Bring sauce to simmer for 3 minutes now mix the cornstarch and water add to sauce stirring constantly till thickens add your chicken stir well set aside
- Dragon: heat oil add onions and celery cook stirring constantly for 4 minutes mix all but the green peas shrimp, cornstarch, and water bring to simmer
- Add shrimp stir in, mix water and cornstarch, add peas stir in the cornstarch solution stirring constantly till thickens
- Garnish with orange arranging in the center of two Dragon and Phoenix slice thin and slice in center enjoy
