Chinese Red Beef Recipe

  1. Trim fat from beef; cut beef into 1 1/2 inch cubes.
  2. Heat 2 Tbsp.
  3. of oil in wok or possibly skillet till warm.
  4. Stir-fry beef cubes till brown on all sides, about 2 min.
  5. Do cubes in portion if necessary, adding 1 Tbsp.
  6. more oil.
  7. Mix water, soy sauce, wine, ginger root, green onion, garlic, sugar and a pepper, add in to beef.
  8. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  9. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, till beef is tender, about 1 hour.
  10. Serve with warm cooked Chinese noodles.
