Creamy Seaside Casserole
- 1 pkg. (350 g) Kraft Deluxe Velveeta on Shells Pasta & Sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped red peppers
- 3 Tbsp. non-hydrogenated margarine, divided
- 1/2 lb. (225 g) imitation crabmeat, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas, thawed, drained
- 1/3 cup Miracle Whip Original Spread
- 1/3 cup crushed corn flakes
- 1/8 tsp. onion powder
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Prepare Kraft Deluxe Velveeta in large saucepan as directed on package.
- Meanwhile, cook and stir onions and peppers in 1 Tbsp.
- margarine in small skillet on medium-high heat 3 to 5 min.
- or until softened.
- Add cooked vegetables to prepared Kraft Deluxe Velveeta along with the crabmeat, peas and Miracle Whip; mix lightly.
- Spoon into 1.5-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover.
- Bake 15 min.
- Meanwhile, melt remaining margarine; stir in corn flake crumbs and onion powder.
- Sprinkle crumb mixture over casserole.
- Bake, uncovered, 5 to 10 min.
- or until crabmeat mixture is heated through and top is golden brown.
