Chutney Chicken
- 1 kg boneless chicken
- 1 cup yogurt
- black salt
- 1 large onion (rings)
- 4 cups fresh coriander leaves (roughly chopped)
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves (roughly chopped)
- 3 -4 green chilies (roughly chopped)
- 2 inches gingerroot (roughly chopped)
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 pinch asafetida powder
- Grind together all the ingredients for the chutney to a smooth paste.
- Add yogurt and black salt and mix well.
- Marinate the chicken in this mixture, preferably in the refrigerator, for minimum 1/2 an hour.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan and arrange these marinated chicken pieces over it.
- Cook till golden brown on both the sides.
- Serve hot (drizzled with some lemon juice over it) with any kind of bread (Indian /non Indian) and onion rings.
