Strata
- 12 slices bread
- 12 oz. sharp cheese, sliced
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
- 2 c. diced cooked ham
- 6 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. instant onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- Cut donut shaped bread using donut cutter - no crusts.
- Fit leftover scraps into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
- Layer cheese on bread.
- Sprinkle on ham and broccoli.
- Arrange donut-shaped bread on top in two rows, down either side of center.
- Combine eggs, milk, onion, salt and mustard.
- Pour over bread, saturating each donut.
- Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 55 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- For color add cherry tomatoes and/or sprig of parsley in each donut center.
