Almost Perfect Texas Red Chili

  1. Brown meat with garlic and onion in a large stew pot.
  2. Drain excess grease, then add all the ingredients.
  3. If serving ladies, babies, wimps or you are partial to your company, don't use the last 3 ingredients.
  4. Let this all simmer for about 45 minutes. Take about 1/2 cup of flour and add hot water to it, a little at a time until soupy and stir into chili.
  5. This "tightens" the chili and adds flavor.
  6. Then simmer 15 more minutes, then serve.
