Best Cheese Grits Recipe
- 1 c. Grits
- 4 c. Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 lb Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 x Roll (6-ounce) Kraft garlic cheese
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Lowfat sour cream
- 1 c. Crushed and buttered cornflakes (optional)
- Cook grits in 4 c. water and 1 tsp.
- salt as directed on package.
- Cold 15 min.
- Heat butter or possibly margarine and 3/4 roll of cheese together and add in to grits.
- Beat Large eggs and lowfat milk.
- Add in lowfat sour cream.
- Add in mix slowly to grits.
- Pour into a greased 2 qt casserole.
- Top with remaining cheese which has been grated or possibly cut into small pcs and cornflakes.
- Bake for 45 min at 350 .
- Yield: 8 servings.
