Shrimp In Spicy Red Sauce Recipe
- 1 1/2 lbs. shrimp (cleaned) (or possibly 2-8 ounce. cans)
- 2 lg. onions (minced)
- 2 green peppers (minced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tbsp. Adobo Goya
- 1/2 c. Durkee Sauce
- 2 (8 ounce.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 c. dry wine
- Saute/fry shrimp in warm skillet with extra virgin olive oil (1 Tbsp.)
- till tender.
- Remove from pan.
- Saute/fry onions, peppers, pepper and garlic till tender with remaining 1 Tbsp.
- of oil.
- Put shrimp back in pan.
- Add in tomato sauce, Durkee sauce, Adobo, bay leaf, wine.
- Cook for 15 min on medium heat.
- Let stand for about 5 min.
- Serve over cooked rice.
