Amish Starter Strusel Cake Recipe
- 2 c. Amish bread starter
- 2/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 x Large eggs
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 sm apples peeled and sliced
- 1/2 c. melted margarine
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 c. minced nuts
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Mix starter, oil, sugar, Large eggs, flour, baking soda, baking pwdr, cinnamon and salt.
- Mix till smooth.
- Pour half of batter in a well-greased 9x13" pan.
- Cover batter in pan with apple slices.
- Mix together streusel topping ingredients.
- Crumble half of the Streusel topping over the apples.
- Add in rest of batter and top with remaining streusel topping.
- Bake at 350 F 45-60 min.
