Velvety Pecan Candy

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Bake pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan 8-10 minutes or until toasted and fragrant.
  3. Line a 15X10 " jelly-roll pan with wax paper.
  4. Lightly butter wax paper.
  5. Microwave candy coating, sweetened condensed milk, and salt in 2 quart micorwave-safe bowl on HIGH 3-5 minutes, stirring at one minute intervals.
  6. Stir until smooth.
  7. Stir in vanilla and pecans.
  8. Spread in even layer in prepared pan.
  9. Cover and chill in frig for 2 hours or until set.
  10. Turn candy out onto cutting board, and cut into squares.
  11. Store, uncovered, at room temperature.
