Layered Chalupa Dip
- 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
- 1/2 c. mild taco sauce
- 2 small avocados
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 c. sour cream (12 oz.)
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
- 1 (2 1/4 oz.) can sliced ripe olives
- 1 1/2 c. sliced green onions
- 1 1/2 c. finely chopped tomatoes
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- tortilla chips for dipping
- Combine beans and taco sauce in a small saucepan.
- Mix well. Heat thoroughly.
- Spread in bottom of a shallow serving dish. Peel, seed and mash avocados.
- Blend in lime juice, oil and garlic salt. Spread over bean layer.
- Layer next 6 ingredients over avocado layer.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
- Makes about 12 to 16 appetizer servings.
