Taco salad layered dip
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 envelope taco seasoning
- 1 1/2 head romaine lettuce, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 packages mixed shredded cheese
- 1 packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 -16oz. sour cream
- 1 jar favorite salsa
- 1/2 can sliced olives (optional)
- Brown ground beef & season with salt & pepper.
- Drain grease & add onion.
- Cook until onion translucent.
- Then take off heat to cool.
- Add half envelope of taco seasoning & whole jar of salsa.
- Mix well.
- While waiting for meat to cool, mix cream cheese, sour cream & rest of taco seasoning.
- I use mixer for this step because its easier.
- When thoroughly mixed, put in 13x9 in.
- pan.
- Spread on bottom of pan.
- When meat is @ room temp then layer it on top of cream cheese mixture.
- Then layer lettuce, tomato, cheese, & if you want olives.
- Place in refrigerator.
- Can serve in 1 hour.
- I serve with Doritos.
- (you can also scoop it into a tortilla & make wraps).
