Asian Fish Steaks Recipe

  1. Oriental fish steaks: Combine all the ingredients except the fish in a food processor till they form a thick paste.
  2. Grill the fish steaks for approximately 4 min on one side.
  3. Turn and coat with the oriental paste and grill for a further 4 to 5 min till the fish is fairly hard but still juicy.
  4. Fragrant rice: Wash the rice thoroughly.
  5. Put the rice, cardamom and minced garlic in a pan and cover with water.
  6. Bring to the boil over a medium heat, stir once then lower the heat and gently simmer.
  7. Cover the pan tightly and cook gently for 8 to 10 min.
  8. Remove from the heat, drain and remove the cardamom pods.
  9. Stir in the minced coriander and serve with the oriental fish steaks.
