Cheesy Lasagna
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. crushed fennel seed
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
- 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. Italian dressing
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
- 12 oz. cottage cheese
- 4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Combine beef, onion and green pepper in large skillet; cook until meat is browned and drain off drippings.
- Add fennel seed, garlic powder, pepper, tomato sauce, Italian dressing and parsley flakes; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions, omitting salt; drain.
- Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and cream cheese; mix well.
- Spread about 1/2 cup of meat sauce in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Layer half each of the noodles, cottage cheese mixture, meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes; let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- Yield:
- 6 to 8 servings.
