Tomato Beef Recipe
- 1 pound round steak, sliced in 1/3 inch strips
- 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 med. onion, sliced
- 1/4 c. Wesson oil
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 3 c. warm cooked noodles
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery, sliced
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce.) can whole tomatoes
- 1/3 c. red wine or possibly water
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- In large skillet, saute/fry round steak, mushrooms, garlic, onion and celery in Wesson oil.
- Blend in tomato sauce, whole tomatoes, wine and seasonings.
- Cover and simmer about 30 min till meat is tender.
- Serve over beds of noodles.
