Mid-Morning Fizz
- 1/2 ounce Green Chartreuse
- 1 ounce club soda
- 1 3/4 ounces Martin Millers Westbourne Strength 100-proof gin
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup (page 154)
- 5 drops orange blossom water
- 1 egg white
- 1 orange half-wheel, for garnish
- Pour the Chartreuse into the bottom of a Collins glass.
- Fill with large cold ice cubes and add the club soda.
- Place the glass in the freezer.
- Combine the gin, juice, syrup, orange blossom water, and egg white in a mixing glass.
- Add large cold ice cubes and shake vigorously for at least 2 minutes to make sure the cocktail has sufficient texture and frothiness.
- To achieve a layered effect, strain carefully over the chilled Chartreuse.
- Garnish with the orange.
