Royce's Camp Out Potatoes Recipe
- 10 lg. potatoes, cut in bite-size pcs
- 3 lg. yellow skinned onions, sliced
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1 pound lean hamburger
- 2 beef bouillon cubes in 1 c. warm water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- Fry bacon, remove and save, pour off all but 3 Tbsp.
- bacon fat.
- Brown hamburger and onion in fat.
- Put potatoes, onion, hamburger in Dutch oven or possibly large cooking pot.
- Cover with crumbled bacon, bouillon and spices.
- Cover and cook about 35 min or possibly till potatoes are tender.
