Scrod with Lemon-Garlic Bread Crumbs

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. In 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic; cook until golden.
  3. Add bread crumbs and cook, stirring frequently, until lightly toasted.
  4. Remove skillet from heat.
  5. With tweezers, remove any bones from scrod.
  6. In 13 by 9 baking dish, arrange fillets; sprinkle with lemon juice and salt.
  7. Press bread-crumb mixture onto fillets.
  8. Bake until fish is opaque throughout, 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. To serve, sprinkle scrod with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
