Brickle Crunch
- 35 saltine crackers (about 1 sleeve from a 16 oz. box)
- 2 sticks butter (1/2 lb.; not margarine)
- 1 c. sugar
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (1 c.)
- 6 oz. peanut butter morsels (1 c.)
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
- Line a 10 x 15-inch cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
- Lay out crackers on the cookie sheet, packing tightly.
- In a medium sized saucepan, melt the butter, then add the sugar and boil, stirring frequently, for 2 or 3 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Immediately spoon mixture over the crackers and bake for 7 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate and peanut butter morsels over the crackers, spreading evenly as they melt.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, then break into pieces.
- Yield:
- 25 to 30 servings.
