Beef Pitas Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 1/2 med. green pepper, minced
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 8 ounce. fresh mushroom pcs
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 tbsp. snipped parsley
- 1 tbsp. Dijon style mustard
- 1 tbsp. steak sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano, crushed
- 2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 6 sm. pita bread halves
- Cook beef, onion, pepper and garlic till meat is brown.
- Drain fat.
- Stir in mushrooms, catsup, parsley, mustard, herbs and 1/4 tsp.
- each salt and pepper.
- Cook and stir 5 min.
- Stir in cheeses.
- Remove from heat.
- Fill pita halves with meat mix.
