Grandmas lentil soup
- 2 cup Dry lentils, rinses
- 1 can 14oz can diced tomatoes
- 8 cup Chicken broth
- 1 lb Sliced or quartered kielbasi
- 4 Chopped carrots
- 1 Bay leaf, whatever spices are preferred
- Cook kilbasa over high heat until it is done, add a little bit of broth to deglaze the bottom of the pan
- Add the rest of the broth, carrots, tomatoes, lentils and whatever spices you like....
- Simmer for and hour or until lentils become softened, and serve
