Amber'S Favorite Lasagna
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2-15 oz cans tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- pinch of pepper
- 1/2 lb lasagna noodles
- 3/4 lb ricotta cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- can tomato sauce
- Heat oils.
- Add beef, onion, and garlic; brown for 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, sauce, sugar, salt, basil, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and pepper.
- Mix well, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
- Mix ricotta and mozzarella with egg, set aside.
- Cook noodles.
- Put a thin layer of sauce in 9 x 13 pan, a layer of noodles, then the cheese-egg mixture.
- Make 3 layers.
- On top layer add 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 minutes.
- Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting and serving.
