Easy Elmo Character Bento
- 1 White rice
- 1 Deco-furi in red and purple (you can also use ketchup and yukari instead)
- 1 Sliced cheese
- 1 Nori seaweed
- 1 Carrot
- Use your desired amount of rice and mix with the deco-furi to add color.
- If you don't have deco-furi, you can use ketchup or yukari furikake instead.
- Wrap up the two different colored clumps of rice in plastic wrap and shape into balls.
- Cut a slice of carrot about 2.3 mm thick.
- Remove the skin, then put into a plastic bag with a bit of water and heat in the microwave for one minute.
- Then, when it softens, you can cut it!
- Use a tooth pick to cut 4 circles out of cheese for the eyes.
- Use scissors to cut out 4 smaller circles for the eyes.
- Cut out 2 mouths as well.
- Check the sizes over the plastic wrap.
- Remove the plastic wrap and put the rice balls into your bento box.
- Add the face parts and it's done!
- Put your side dishes around the rice balls for a colorfully cute bento!
- I'm making other charabens that don't require special tools.
